TRAVEL
Experiential learning through travel has been fundamental to Bob’s career and personal life. His rich experiences have granted him the opportunity to work with individuals and institutions around the world.
Bob has taught travel study courses as part of his role in the Leadership and Global Understanding program at La Salle University. Countries traveled include: Israel, Argentina, Brazil, China, India, Germany, Chile, Cuba, Morocco, Spain, Thailand, Hong Kong, Austria, Czech Republic, Poland and Hungary. These courses examined local education systems and the ways these countries were preparing their youth to be globally competitive. On each of these journeys, Bob has been accompanied by his wife, Marlyn, who is also a passionate explorer. Some of Bob’s favorite places have been Israel, Croatia, Japan, China, Costa Rica, Vietnam, Brazil, Myanmar, Bali, South Africa and just about any place in Europe. Bob is also an avid cycler who enjoys biking in many of the places to which he travels. His most recent cycling excursions include Ireland and the Canadian Rockies.
